SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT

Some years ago I was in Thailand. Here I learned the expression "same same but different". I don't know that I ever fully understood it, but here I am trying to use it anyway. The LDS seems to be a church that are "same, but different". It has the same teachings, mostly the same music and the same material all over the world. But there must be little details that are different, at least the people in the churches are different, and that in it self is important. On my fieldwork one of the things that I focus on, is finding these differences, and on my search to do so I travel to Salt Lake City, Utah from Aarhus, Denmark. I know that the sizes of the congregations are very different, and the society surrounding the churches are as well. But how can all this be seen inside the church and the ways in which the religion is lived?

- Have you visited churches in other parts of the world?
- Have you experienced any differences?
